The Research Master's programme Linguistics and Communication provides an excellent foundation for students interested in conducting scientific research in any of the aforementioned fields, and is very successful in guiding students towards the PhD level. The programme also offers a sound basis for careers in the areas of clinical linguistics, curriculum development, language engineering, speech technology, language planning, artificial intelligence and teaching.
Our former graduates obtained:
- PhD positions in the Netherlands and abroad;
- research-related jobs that require soft skills such as dealing with changing knowledge and writing publishable reports (e.g. research advisor);
- jobs in higher education and in the IT industry (e.g. data analyst);
- jobs in the speech and language therapy sector (e.g. clinical linguist).
